HMP 100+4 Youth Programme
The HM Pitjie 100+ 4 Youth Programme is aimed at creating jobs through learnerships, internships and SMEE development.
Youth Development programs target the current unemployment rate of 27 per cent (52 per cent for those between the ages of 15 and 24). Dark Fiber Africa (DFA) and South Africa Digital Village (SADV) have collaborated with the Foundation by contributing to the creation of skills development training opportunities for young people.
On 16 September, 24 students recruited by the Foundation began at DFA and 6 at SADV. Learners will gain the important skills they need to be employable in the future world of work.
This has assured the move of DFA from level 2 B-BEBEE to level 1 in January 2020.
